she’s alive!
“Love is not an exact science” is the lesson learned in our affectionate nod to Mary Shelley and James Whale’s classic dark comedy, along with the other Universal Monster movies of the 1930s. With a contemporary feminist twist, BRIDE OF FRANKIE is the story of a not-so-mad female scientist, Frances (aka “Frankie”) who undergoes her own “Taming of the Shrew” experiment in her efforts to help two lonely monsters find love. Through comedy, romance, tragedy and even a bit of horror, FRANKIE explores gender roles and the complex nature of sexuality as relationships develop in surprising ways.
